Short curriculum vitae

Kannasoot Kanokkanchana is a postdoctoral researcher currently based at The Technical University of Munich, Germany. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mahidol University, Thailand, in 2011, and went on to earn his Master of Science in Physical Chemistry from the same institution in 2015. After completing his Master's degree, Kannasoot worked for two years as an assistant researcher at the Materials for Energy Research Unit, National Metal and Materials Technology Center, Thailand. During this time, he conducted research on a variety of topics, including alkaline-activated concrete, desulfurization sorbents for fuel gas cleaning processes, and hydrodesulfurization catalysts for industries.

In 2017, Kannasoot was awarded a doctorate fellowship by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) to conduct research on nano-electrochemistry and electrocatalysis at the Chair of Analytical Chemistry II, Ruhr University Bochum, Germany, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Kristina Tschulik. He successfully completed his doctorate in December 2021, earning the highest distinction of summa cum laude. Kannasoot is interested in the development of electroanalytical instruments, analytical techniques, and computational algorithms for nano- and single-entity electrochemistry; he is currently extending his knowledge in the areas of biosensors and bioelectrochemistry.
